2020 American Heart Month - Jaken Medical Partners with International Children's Heart Foundation
In honor of 2020’s February “American Heart Month”, Jaken Medical has eagerly partnered with the International Children’s Heart Foundation to better serve children with congenital heart defects. With approximately 1 in every 100 children being born with a heart defect, it is relieving to see a foundation like ICHF stepping up to the plate to help those who can’t afford proper care.
“The mission of the International Children’s Heart Foundation is to bring the skills, technology and knowledge to cure and care for children with congenital heart disease in developing nations. ICHF does this regardless of country of origin, race, religion or gender,” (ICHF Mission Statement). Being in operation since 1993, the ICHF gathers volunteer medical teams from around the globe to deliver free pediatric cardiac surgeries, training and medical resources to countries deprived of access to them.
With over 7,750 operations in more than 33 hospitals around the world, it was a no-brainer for Jaken Medical to support the ICHF. We are excited to see how our equipment donations benefit their mission and children with heart defects around the world.
