The ankle-brachial index test is an extremely easy means for you to check how well your patient’s circulation is. This test would be used to check for peripheral artery disease, or PAD.

A doppler ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves as a means to get an accurate measurements of circulation through one’s arteries and veins. Primarily, dopplers are testing for the blood flow to one’s arms and legs. With these studies, you can detect abnormal flow within an artery or blood vessel.
