Echocardiogrphy (cardiac ECHO or simply ECHO) is a sonogram of the heart. An echocardiogram, also known as a transthroacic echocardiogram (TTE), or simply, a cardiac ultrasound, is a non-invasive procedure used in the diagnosis, management, and follow-up of patients with any suspected or known heart diseases. Using ultrasound technology, a cardiac ultrasound creates a scan that can be viewed and recorded as a two or three-dimensional digital image of the heart.
With a cardiac ultrasound system, a trained cardiologist can quickly determine the size, shape, and strength of the heart, as well as the condition of the heart valves, the lining of the heart (the endocardium), and the aorta. An echocardiogram can determine whether any chest pain or associated symptoms are related to heart disease, in addition to the detection of any blood flow abnormalities.
Jaken Medical carries cardiac ultrasound systems from the top ultrasound manufacturers GE Ultrasound Systems and Philips Ultrasound Systems. On top of our lower prices on cardiac ultrasound systems, we also offer cardiac ultrasound system repair.
