Echocardiogrphy (cardiac ECHO or simply ECHO) is a sonogram of the heart. An echocardiogram, also known as a transthoracic echocardiogram (TTE), or simply, a cardiac ultrasound, is a non-invasive procedure used in the diagnosis, management, and follow-up of patients with any suspected or known heart diseases. Using ultrasound technology, a cardiac ultrasound creates a scan that can be viewed and recorded as a two or three-dimensional digital image of the heart.
With a cardiac ultrasound system, a trained cardiologist can quickly determine the size, shape, and strength of the heart, as well as the condition of the heart valves, the lining of the heart (the endocardium), and the aorta. An echocardiogram can determine whether any chest pain or associated symptoms are related to heart disease, in addition to the detection of any blood flow abnormalities. On top of our lower prices on cardiac ultrasound systems, we also offer cardiac ultrasound system repair.
New vs. Refurbished
At Jaken Medical, we carry a wide variety of new and refurbished ultrasound systems for sale. While it is always nice to be able to purchase brand new equipment, the cost can sometimes outweigh the benefits. We have a large inventory of both new and refurbished equipment available for you to choose from. We also have an in-house team of biomedical technicians who service, repair, and refurbish medical devices. Refurbished ultrasound systems often run for much cheaper than brand new units, and they even come with a comprehensive warranty (depending on unit). We offer live technical support to all Jaken Medical customers, so you never have to feel like you’re left alone to figure out your ultrasound system’s functions.
